Davis Ramey is a leading Northern California jazz and classical guitarist, performing in widely diverse settings for the past twenty-five years. He has toured and recorded with jazz greats George Shearing and Earl "Fatha" Hines, and has performed in theater orchestras for the acclaimed musicals Les Miserables and Evita. His classical credits include performances in chamber music series and with the San Francisco Symphony, Ballet and Opera orchestras. Davis has been featured on KQED concerts and he was professor of guitar at San Francisco State and a member of the teaching staff of the American Conservatory Theatre. Davis performs in many groups including solo or with many combinations including saxophone, flute, another guitarist, mandolin, bass, harp, violins and accordion. His solo guitar work is a beautiful combination of jazz and classical with bossa novas and flamenco stylings. Davis can add additional musicians incluinding flute, violin, string bass, piano and vocalists.
